Earning money through a blog requires a lot of patience, determination and hard work. The first thing you need to create a good blog is a good content and the second is audience. If you share a very good and well written content then only it will attract audience. But how will the audience come? How will they know about your blog? The answer is Search Engine Optimization. Yes, SEO is the best and probably the most genuine method to get a target audience (traffic to your blog). A well optimized blog is placed well on search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing etc and people find them easily when searching for related keywords.
The two basic method of earning through a blog are Monetization and Affiliate Marketing. Its nothing but displaying advertisements for others on your blog. But you always have to be very cautious when monetizing your blog as it may turn away your visitors. If your pages are full of ads and banners with a less content then no one is going to stay on the page. And why will they remain there if they found only clusters of ad blocks there.
Second important thing is to try putting only relevant ads that are related to your content. For example, if your blog is related to technical gadgets then you should try to display ads related to latest technical gadgets. Your visitors come to your blog because they are searching for information on some gadget. So, your ads displaying something like an iPhone, Android etc will be an attraction. On the other hand displaying food items on your tech related blog May Be a little distraction. Though most of the advertisement websites automatically place related ads only.
